Lazarette Gaskets

I think I have water getting in through my lids. What kind of gaskets have worked for you? I want something that will last a while so I am not dealing with this a year from now.

Thanks for posting your question on the new forum Denton! Looks like you got a response in the Google Group. Copied the response here for everyone following along at home:

“It’s probably coming through the bolt holes. If so, bevel the holes and wrap bed-it butyl tape around the screw heads and tighten them. Come back the next day and tighten them again as the butyl will continue to compress.” - assem

You might want to bore out from the back, remove some of the balsa core and backfill with epoxy before redrilling and using butyl tape.
